The University of Birmingham is seeking qualified and enthusiastic applicants for a Part-time Research Fellow (Grade 7) who will join the Monitoring + Evaluation Team (led by Professor Joan Duda, PI) in the highly-rated School of Sport, Exercise & Rehabilitation Sciences.
The successful applicant will contribute to the Levelling the Playing Field project (led by the Alliance of Sport in Criminal Justice and in collaboration with the Youth Justice Board and a number of external strategic and delivery partners in England and Wales).
The LtPF project has been funded by the London Marathon Charitable Trust and endorsed by United by Birmingham 2022.
LtPF aims to empower programmes of sport and physical activity to increase support and opportunities for more than 11,000 Black, Asian and Minority children who are at risk of entering, or who are already disproportionately involved in, the Criminal Justice System in England and Wales and under-represented in sport and physical activity.
This vacancy is a 10 month (January – October, 2021) maternity cover but there are opportunities to possibly extend.
Responsibilities to include conducting of interviews and running focus groups, organising online survey administration, data analyses, steering group meeting preparation, and being the day-to-day liaison between our UoB team, colleagues at the Alliance of Sport and key external stakeholders.
